GOALS FROM NIALL QUINN AND DAVID WHITE
FROM THE PRESS BOX
David White had every reason to be a happy young man when he departed from Carrow Road.
His five star performance on the wing for Manchester City enabled him to edge one step nearer a debut appearance for England B against Wales tomorrow.
When white is in this mood of destruction, his dazzling cross made it very easy for Niall Quinn’s, early goal before adding his own scoring volley, no defender can expect to suppress him. “His pace frightens the life out of you,” said Norwich full back Mark Bowen.

It took only two minutes for White’s touchline wizardry to destroy Norwich, who were seeking their fifth consecutive win.
Clive Allen, back in the Manchester City side at the expense of Heath, found White on the right. His pace made the space for a perfect cross which Quinn headed home with awesome power.

In the 28th minute White produced another superb run and cross. But this time Bryan Gunn pulled off a flying save from another fierce Quinn header.
Two minutes before half time Quinn repaid the favour, nodding down a free kick for the dynamic White to smash in his eighth goal of the season.
City boss Peter Reid quipped: “If they carry on like this I might not get back in the team.”

A goal conceded ten minutes from the end at Carrow Road was the only flaw in what became a near-faultless performance and Norwich were dispatched far more comprehensively than the score suggests.
A two goal cushion established in the superb first-half romp by the Blues could have comfortably doubled had a host of excellent chances been accepted. The majority of them were conceived out on the right where dazzling David White was at his most explosive.
White contributed his best display of the season and had by half-time done sufficient to earn himself Undisputed man-of-the-match recognition.
