Another depleted City side, and another defeat. City had just Francis Lee up front who came near to troubling Spurs, whilst The North London side were thwarted on many occasions by the young keeper Ron Healey, however, as happened in the Cup Winners Cup semi-final a few days earlier, A Healey mistake decided the game,
Steve Perryman unleashed a 30 yard shot which appeared to be straight at the City keeper, he may have been slightly unsighted, but he could only push the ball on to the post and into the net.
