Wednesday took the spoils in Division One after a rip roaring contest savv them emerge victors by the odd goal in five. Mark Lillis gave City a 13th minute lead from Paul Simpson’s knockback but the Ovvls vvere level inside 60 seconds vvhen Garry Thompson headed in Brian Marvvoods cross. Wednesday got themselves in front vvhen Gary Megson headed in from Gary Sheltons flick on. Mel Sterland headed in after Paul Hart flicked on Marvvoods corner in the 43rd minute, though Neil McNab’s 25 yarder made for a nervous last quarter.
