MATCH REPORT FROM THE NEWCASTLE JOURNAL 2ND DECEMBER 1993
Crisis club Manchester City stretched their depressing run without a win to six matches but deserved to take League Cup specialists Nottingham Forest back to Maine Road for a fourth round Coca-Cola Cup replay.
City comfortably survived this latest test in a troubled week, mainly because Forest missed 16-goal top scorer Stan Collymore even more than City missed their own injured attack leader, Niall Quinn.
