REPORT FROM THE IRISH INDEPENDANT 13TH MAY 1992
There was a shock in store For Manchester City at Thomond Park last night when Barry Ryan ran into a pass from Brian Swords to beat goalkeeper Martin Margaretson with just 90 seconds on the clock.
City, however, recovered and Niall Quinn gave his fans in the 3,000 strong crowd something to cheer about when he flicked home the equaliser in 32 minutes.
Aide Mike put City ahead with a powerful header just on the break after good work by winger Michael Hughes, and the same combination clicked again a minute into the second half, with Mike being left to tap the ball home from four yards.
