PEDERSEN AND CAMPO SCORE THE BOLTON GOALS TO BEAT THE BLUES 2-0

City gave debuts to a youngsters Joey Barton and Stephen Jordan as manager Kevin Keegan looked to freshen up the side, whilst Bolton boss Sam Allardyce looked towards his big hitters Okocha, Djorkaeff and Campo for inspiration.
It was the showboating and breathtaking skills of Okocha which helped Bolton take the lead thirteen minutes from half time when his low cross across the face of goal was converted from close range by boyhood City fan Henrik Pedersen. Bolton had threatened in the build up to the goal when the on loan Bernard Mendy struck the crossbar whilst City themselves looked dangerous due to the presence of future Wanderers favourite Nicolas Anelka.
Campo wrapped the game up ten minutes after the second half had commenced with a firm header off a corner and this gave Bolton hope that top flight survival was once again a real possibility.
