… Garry Flitcroft brought Manchester City back from the brink in a 1-1 draw against Aston Villa at Maine Road.
The Blues were trailing to a first half goal from Garry Parker, who scored with a spectacular scissors kick, but Flitcroft snatched a 59th minute equaliser for his second goal in successive weeks.
City were furious with Villa’s opener, claiming Dean Saunders was offside and defender Terry Phelan was booked for dissent.
