My first game at Maine Road ! Exiting or what !!
I went in at three quarter time when they opened the gates , on taking up a spot on the tracing between the green scoreboard end and the kippax stand City were winning 3-1.
However we ended up losing the game 4-3.. this kind of performance was common place with City in those days ….
I was there as well and this was the sort of game that helped to promote the well known phrase “typical City”.
