Wednesday took an early lead which made the Blues even more determined, epitomised by the tenacious Hendry. In the 27th minute he launched himself at a cross from Hughes to head home the equaliser.
Hendry continued to cause problems for the Wednesday defence and ten minutes from time plundered a second goal to give City a crucial lead. But, with less than two minutes remaining of the game, Wednesday conjured up two goals to snatch a most unlikely victory from the battling Blues.
