This was second home game in two days for City in a busy Easter period Paul Hince made a great debut for the Blues, after both teams had good chances including a West Brom effort which appeared to be cleared off the line by the hand of Tony Book, it was the young Hince who scored a brace in a minute. An Osborne save fell at the feet of Hince and he knocked the ball home for the first and then a silky passing move ended with Hince making it 2-0. However It was an excellent second half comeback for the Baggies as goals from Kaye and Fraser ensured that the points would be split evenly at full-time.
