Marc Vivien Foe did City no favours with a brace of goals which take him to nine for the season and means that Lyon will not be dropping their asking price of £7M if City want Foe to stay on next year. The Cameroon international's first was a low shot after good work by Anelka on the right. And his second was a simple poke over the line after some confusion in the box. Sandwiched in between Foe's goals Robbie Fowler scored the goal of the game with a lob over Poom after some mercurial magic in midfield by Ali Benarbia.
