FROM THE BELFAST TELEGRAPH 9TH MAY 1973 Manchester City were beaten 2-1 by Olympiakos Piraeus of Greece in a friendly soccer match in Athens last night. City led 1-0 at half-time after Greek defender Persides put the ball into his own net in the 26th minute. Papadimitriou equalised for Olympiakos after 56 minutes and Nicolaou scored the winner one minute from the end.
