FROM THE PRESS BOX

JEFF HODGSON WRITING IN THE MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS FOOTBALL PINK FINAL 4TH APRIL 1981 Manchester City spoiled manager John Bond's return to his old club Norwich by conceding two goals in the first 32 minutes. With the City boss looking for an inspiring performance before next week's Fa Cup semi-final against Ipswich, the Blues were never in the hunt. Mark Barham gave the Canaries the lead after 13 minutes and John McDowell scored the second from the penalty spot after 32 minutes following a foul by Tommy Hutchinson on Barham. And to make matters worse for City they had defender Nicky Reid booked to take him over the 20 points margin which means another appearance before the disciplinary committee.
