JEFF HODGSON WRITING IN THE MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS FOOTBALL PINK FINAL 28TH APRIL 1990 It was rough luck on the Blues who were in adventurous mood but ran into England 'keeper Peter Shilton in brilliant form. Shilton pulled off a series of brilliant saves from David White, Adrian Heath and Niall Quinn as City forced the pace. The Blues lost defender Colin Hendry in the first half with a leg injury with Clive Allen coming on as substitute.
