Another poor performance in London ended with a third successive defeat for City at Selhurst Park. A powerful Palace side gained both points for the first time this season courtesy of City youngster Colin Barrett. Early in the second half Kellard broke down the wing and his viscious low cross, Barrett in an effort to clear, stuck out a leg and diverted the ball over Corrigan and into his own net. The Blues should have equalised, however Francis Lee's penalty kick was parried out by Jackson, who then also saved Lee's follow up shot
