...An ordinary game to watch  yet enhanced by some well-taken goals. After 2 minutes Summerbee's free-kick caught Coventry cold and Bell finished swiftly. Then Lee  scored a penalty after Blockley had flattened Young; a harsh decision. After the break Coventry raised their game and finally pulled one back after Doyle and Heslop fell in a heap, Hunt clipping in the loose ball.  Towards the end Bruck decided Bell was offside, thus allowing him to knock in Lee's pass.
