IAN JOHNSON WRITING IN THE SPORTS ARGUS 29TH MARCH 1986 A goal two minutes from time by Simon Stainrod kept Aston Villa's hopes of avoiding relegation very much alive at Manchester City today. But what a fight they had. Villa grabbed a deserved lead through Hodge after 36 minutes. But then, in an 11 minute burst, City equalised and then stormed ahead. McNab brought the teams level after 63 minutes after Villa failed to clear their defences and in the 74th minute Wilson was fortunate when the ball broke loose to hit City ahead.
