Arsenal went to the top of the Premiership with this result over Manchester City. Sylvain Wiltord struck first 26 minutes into the game when a deflected Dennis Bergkamp pass fell into his path and he slotted home from 14 yards. The lead didn’t last long as former Gunner Nicolas Anelka hit the equaliser two minutes later with a header from six yards out. The lead was restored when Thierry Henry scored before half-time with a crisp shot, fed to him by Ashley Cole, that eluded Peter Schmeichel. The second-half saw a goal disallowed for Arsenal and a late chance missed by Marc-Viven Foe for the visitors. FROM THE ARSENAL PROGRAMME 1ST FEBRUARY 2004
