FROM THE PRESS BOX

STEVE MCHUGH WRITING IN THE MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS FOOTBALL PINK FINAL 17TH OCTOBER 1981 Manchester City's brave fight at Arsenal was rocked by a youngster making his full League debut. Raphael Meade, a 19 year old, broke the deadlock in the 71st minute at Highbury, hitting a left foot shot past 'keeper Joe Corrigan after Graham Rix and Brian Talbot had combined. And that was tough on the Blues, who had impressed as the better side only to be defied by a series of brilliant saves from veteran Arsenal 'keeper Pat Jennings. Another blow for the Blues came with the booking for Tommy Hutchison for a foul on Talbot.
