The crowd at a foggy Maine Road saw City march into the 4th Round of the FA Cup.
The scoreline though, flattered City, Tottenham were certainly the equal of The Blues… except in front of goal.
Toseland opened the scoring for City with an excellent finish after a mazy dribble. Spurs hit back after the break with an equaliser from Thompson.
City then scored two goals which both deflected in off Spurs defenders, the first from Marshall and the second from Busby to make it 3-1. Tottenham missed some clear cut chances before Busby scored again to make it 4-1.
