CHRIS BRIERLEY WRITING IN THE MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS FOOTBALL PINK FINAL 18TH APRIL 1987 Manchester City's slender hopes of staying in the First Division were shattered today as they crashed to Watford at Maine Road. Neil McNab looked to have handed Jimmy Frizzell's struggling side a lifeline with a 50th minute goal from the penalty spot. But Watford equalised 10 minutes from time through Worrall Sterling, and took the lead in the 87th minute through David Bardsley.
