From DAVID WHITE, SHADES OF BLUE I received the one and only red card of my career during our game against Vicenza. One of their players had spat at me, dirty bastard, and I'd reacted (mildly I'd thought) by flicking my opponents ear while drawing his attention to the phlegm sliding down my cheek. The referee saw it differently, though, dismissing me from the field, while deciding to keep the other fella on. Fortunately the post match intervention of a level headed referee assessor prevented me from getting a ban.
